The York Archaeological Trust offers several ways to get involved at Hungate, York. Training excavations provide a way to learn about and participate in excavation, recording, planning, finds processing, environmental sampling, and processing. Depending on the progress made on site, there may also be opportunities for additional training in the excavation and processing of human remains, waterlogged deposits, preserved timber structures and historical archaeology. Professional field archaeologists provide all the training throughout the course.
